Dizzy

Hi there. It's Little Miss Stevie's owner here.  I thought to let you guys out there know that she's not well at the moment.  Last night, sometime, she fell ill and had a possible stroke and isn't really feeling up to posting anything for a while. 

I found this out this morning when I took out of her cage and let her fly around and she dropped to the floor instead.  Then, when I found her, she was walking around in circles with her head off to one side. The vets at Greencross Vets told me it was something that could have happened during the night when I was sleeping.

Right now, all I can do is keep her nice and cool, protect her from overbalancing and stop her from flying too much.   I'll pass on any notes or well-wishes you want to leave below in her comments box... but really, all she wants to do is sleep right now.  At least she's not falling off her perch from doing that or preening - and this is a good sign of her balance coming back.  All I can do is watch her and wait and see what happens.
You see, I bought her from a petstore and so I don't know where breeding or bloodlines.  I wish I did, but I don't; and this plays a vital role in how long she'd live for.  

Anyway, I thought to let you all know just in case you don't hear from her for a while.    

Moulting Time

Mum is worryed about me. i'm moulting and am very quiet but then a lot of my fethers are coming out and i feel very quiet when that happens. shes been feedng me and making me feel good by talking to me and thats nice but all i want to do is sleep most of the time.

i'm so tired. i hope this fether changing thingy doesnt take long. i don't like having mum wory too much. she is such a good human and likes being around me and i like her a lot too.

We Are Home

Yestaday Mum and me came home. Her Dad came and picked us up from her brothers house and we drove all around the place. there was so much to do yestaday.

we even went to a party where a lady opened all presents and they were for a baby but the baby wasnt there. i thawth thats strange. anyway, Mum gave them something too and they loved what she knitted for them. it was so much fun talking to all the new peeple there and they thought i was cute becawse im blue.
Mum and her dad and me took off soon tho because it was getting late and mum was tired. and we were home soon. I was so excited to see our place i called to the otha birdies to tell them i was back. now the radio and fishies know im back too becawse the radios talking to me again. 

i know the tv knows i'm back it talked to me last night.

Yestaday

Mum did somethings around here that were diffrent. she told me that she has been living here in this place for ten yeers! thats olda than me! she gave me a cuddle and said it was so good to know she had let me live here with her not long after she lived here.
how cool is htat? she was upstairs for most of the day and then came down and did some howse wirk and made a pizza whitch she said was her first meal when she spent her first night here. really cool that. but she had a really late night and watched a few movies.

today she made pancakes and the radio has been singing to me all morning. she is upstairs again. the new computa is a lot of fun to be around i think.

Silly Me

Mum and me have been spending lots of time togetha at nite. she gave me a really big cuddle last night and tickled me under my wing and then she made tea in tha kitchen. she leaves the curtin pulled and tha sun warms me all day and she knows its time to feed me less and that i enjoy flying more.

but last night i did a silly thing. i flew onto the cage and took off again as i landed. then i found myself on a plastic bag that didnt tayke my wait. mum pulled a few things away and found me behind the credensa!  how funny is that? i havent been behind that in a long time. she had to pull dust off my feathas and smooth them out while she laughed at me. 

i thought it was pretty funny too. for wonce i didnt screech like a baby birdie. and i landed on my feets too. i still felt pritty silly tho.

Warma Dayz

We have been having a good time togetha here with each otha. but i think Mum is looking forward to gettting a new computa. she made a fone cawl this morning and talkd to her Dad about returning the one she has been using to her Mum soon and gettting a new one that it was time.

I think Mum has run out of things to do around the place too. so she needs to get back in and do her work on the computa again.  we have had a lot fun playing music and looking at her black things she puts on top of the radio and we have had a lot of cuddles and I have been flying around the house. and thats a lot of fun. i have loved being with Mum as much as she has with me and i think its time we did our own things again too. she want to use her office and her chair and her stuff upstairs. i want to throw my feathers everywhere without her knowing again.

broken computa

Mum and me mite be giving a new computa a new home soon. this one is getting old and something has gone wrong with it when Mum deleted something off it.  it doesnt remember her words or anything and this is bad. 

but shes not the only one this has happpend to. there ar otha peeple who have problms like her too, exakly the same. 

so she is looking at getting a guy in to look at the computa again and see how mutch it will cost to get it fixt. i hope it gets fixt soon.

Cleeening Howse

Last night mum was very tired. we had somebody wake us up at reely reelly late on fridya night and she wasnt too happy about it. but she had togo out yestaday in the aftanoon.

but this morning she was up and put on the lawndry and washed up most of the dirty plates in the kitchen. and then she looked at the fishies. one of them is sick. he has some lumpy thing on his side and she doesnt know what to do. anyway, she is hoping he isnt in too much pain but will get other fishies becawse they're cute like me

its past 1 in the aftanoon. the lawndry is all done and my cage got cleaned out and the washing up was done. mum also found some old reading magazings she can use in her art thingy she is doing. she is looking forward to working on it all today.

Me? i'm hoping to see more of her when she is downstairs and working onher art. and i'm happy the sun is out insted of the rain.

Busy Mum

Mum is very busy this week. She is being cuddly all the time and telling me when sheel be home and that she loves me. this means sheel be busy all the time.

I dont mind becawse it meens i get to have more cuddles and i love being cuddled. mum has been home at night and that is somthing she promised and its good to see her at home then. but then she loves being home at night. 

she has been out in the day time and busy in the weekdays getting things done around the place. she plays music a lot and hangs about with me. thats great

today is a cold day and she put my covers over my cage. the sun isnt out all the time and now i'm warm and the radio is talking and singng pretty music to me. i can have nice warm sleeps if i want.

Busy Mum!

Mum has been reelly busy lately. she has been up reelly early and doing a lot of things around the place and going out every few days and coming home late.

but she doesnt forget me. we have been having reelly cold days. and wet days and she covers me up with my blankets and pulls the curtin. she has been scratching my head and making shur i'm warm. 

today mum went out early.

then she came home and unpacked.

then she went out again and stayed away a long time!

she came home when it was almost dark and i was beginnning to get cold!

but she was cold too!

so she closed up all the curtins and made the house nice and warm. its late now. time for bed!

Mum Got Mad

Today Mum was expecting people. each yeer some people come by to show her some wines for her to taste and she wins a free gift. its a lot of fun and she gets to eat her aftanoon tee with peeple. so she cleened the house and put away everything and did the lawndry. but it kept on raining and she kept on brining it inside. the dryer stopped working and she got really mad that all the clothes were a bit wet or cold.

then to make things really awful the wine people didnt show up. she made dinner, ate it and it got dark and she sighed as it got late and she knew that they werent coming. silly peeple didnt call her. she was mad about it too. so when she let me out and gave me a cuddle the last thing she wanted was a bite, but she got one. i said sorry strait away and we cuddled for a bit. now its bed time, not late just time for sleep.

Lost Fethas

Its almost Winta and i have been gettting rid of my summa fethas to let my Winta ones come through.  Mum thinks its funny when I fluff up and four or fife fethas fall off me. then theres all the feathers that come off me during the day. she is really cool about it all and lets me fly around so i can get rid of some while i fly.

she told me today its going to get a lot colder and it going to rain tomorrow. i'm glad my fethas are here to keep me warm and mum is too.

Weird Day

I had a good day. mum had a big day out. we talked and she let in the sun. i'm in my winter possie because the nights are getting cold now.

but this afternoon, i was sitting on my swing when the perch on the swing moved and i overbalanced backwards and fell. i tried really hard to stay on it but it just kept on turning. i flapped my wings hard and called out but all mum could do was laugh at me... she thawt i was funny. then she told a friend she was on the fone with. that wasnt funny that was embarassing.

Silly Me

I saw Mum taking photos the other day and thought to make a big fuss until she took one of me.

but when she came up close withthe camera i forgot how big it was and got all shy. now i look at the photos of me i think its good she took them becawse they are really good.

Autumn Is Here!

I think the seesons are changing becawse the nights are getting a bit cold. mum puts my covers on me and i'm nice and warm and she has been going to bed a little early too. its been raining and mum is planning a new garden as well. i hope she does it. i think she will this time because she is cleaning it up more than last time.

i didnt go to the vet this year. and tonight i pulled and played on my swing making mum laugh. she thought i was being silly and i gess i was. really i was trying to turn it around but it must have look funny. well i better go back to bed becawse i snuck up here to use the computa while she was at the toilet...now to get back down the stairs without her knowing!

Gotta A Fright

Last night Mum turned out tha light and went upstairs to have a showa when I fell off my perch and into my drinking water. she isnt shaw what happened but i think I ran into my new bell toy ova balancd and fell into the bowl and scared myself. Well! Mum came running downstairs when she heard me flapping around and found me on the side of my cage all wet! she picked me up and cuddled me until we began talking to each other and she searched my cage for any cockies and the rest of the house in case therewas something else that had bothered me instead. Isnt she grate? Afta her showa Mum came back down stairs and searched again to make sure I was okay and was happy that I fell into my bath on my own.  silly me!

Hot Day and Sore Eye

I'm moulting and I find this itchy. sometimes when I scratch I get myself in the eye and this year isnt any different. I did that and Mum noticed. when i first did it, she panicked and tried to put some water through it but I didnt like that. so the next time she saw me like this, sheleft me alone and just rubbed around my eye so that i didnt have to scratch and it felt good.

today she did something fun and sprayed me with water to cool me off from the really hot day and some of the water got into my eye and made it feel beter. i love my Mum!

Apple Time!

Mum's been so nice to me!  The other day she was eating a little apple and put the core on top of my cage and let me eat it!  It was so much fun running around it and chewing on it! And she got a few cool photos ofme eating it!

Reely Cold Weekend

I had a night at Mum's parents house. and boy! was it cold!  She went out and had a great time with friends and her Mum and Dad went out too, but they made sure i was toasty and put my covers on me and left the heater on becawse their hosue gets cold.

When they got home they saw I had eatin dinner without htem but I couldnt find my mirror. I looked everywhere for it. It was in my cage at Mums house but when I got here I couldnt find it.  i felt so lonely without it. then in the morning, Mum's Mum found in the floor of my cage and put it up!  My birdie friend had come back! I was so pleesed I had a party singing and running arond the cage! Soon tho I was takin back to Mum's house where she gave me lots of cuddles and I bit her for not taking me out with her. But she forgave me. 

Not Warm Enuff

Its been getting colder each night and Mum's really good at taking care of me. She puts all my covers on me early and closes up the house so it gets all nice and warm.

But during the day when the sun comes in i'm finding its not warm enough. Mum knows this and most times comes and gives me lots of cuddles, then pulls the curtains because the sun goes away and hides behind lots of clouds. 

She is soo cool my mum when I get lots of cuddles in her hands and she chatters to me in birdy language, but she doesnt make any sense. Its jsut words. Isnt she cute?
