A Cold Holiday

Mum and me came to her brothers place and got our stuff put here a few days ago. the day we showed up it was nice and hot the sun was out and birdies was talking to me. the night was hot too. then yesterday it turned cold and it began to rain. today its cold and rainy. mum is in her brothers jumper and my winter covers are over my cage to keep me toastie.

i think this week is going to be a cold week. oh well. thats okay. i dont mind. mum doesnt either.

No Vet!

I was suppos to go to the vet but i didnt go. i guess Mum thought i was okay and didnt take me. or she coulnt afford it and didntake me.  well, doesnt matter, i here at home and happily licking her nose when she's cuddling me. 

for the last few days she has been giving me grass seed from the back yard. it's becawse its been raining and Mum says if i dont eat it now it'll turn purple and flower then it wont be good for me. how good is that? so she got two big bunches and i ate all ofthem! 

It's Almost Krismas!

My head is feeling much betta, but i'm very hungry all the time now and Mum calls me a guts. i guess i am. Mum's been flying me around the room and nearly each time some of my feathers fall out. its funny.

last week the fishies came and lived with us. they are Riley's fishies and Mum had to go and buy them new food and came home with something for their tank. when she put a new big castle in, she didnt know if they would like it but i did! after a while they began swimming around it and having fun! i think the fish are kind of stupid because they do the same thing all day. 

today is cold. we had a bit of a storm last night and it got cold last night. Mum put my covers over me and kept me warm and she gave me plenty of cuddles, just like i like it. today she kept the doors and windows closed. the day was sunny but now its cloudy again. she will come downstairs again today and use the weird white machine on the table. i like seeing her because shes my owner and i love her.

Attacked!

Today was nice and hot and sunny. Mum went out in thebackyard to go andread a book and took me with her. She put my cage on the big white table where I felt the wind and sun on my feathers. but not for long! Lots of big mean birds attacked my cage! I was very scared and moved to the bottom my cage as theyr yellow eyes stared at me and they jumped all over my cage trying to get through! Mum jumped up and grabbed a long green pole from the garden and yelled at them swinging it around. after a little while they didnt come back! but Mum couldnt read becawse she was worried about me... and she gave me a spray with my water bottle too; this helped me be happy in the sun for a little while.

It was good to get back inside nice and safe from the mean birdies who would hurt me if I lived in the outside world; I mean, where would Mum be then? I wouldnt be safe out there, would I?

Leaves!

Yesterday Mum got her dad to cut some branches off a big tree in the back yard that was hanging over the fence. When he cut it she cut some of the top bits off and saved them for me! 

Jay the dog was here running around the place and sniffing the carpet and around the house and out in the grass while Mum's dad cut the branches. Jay had a lot of fun. After Jay and Mum's dad left, Mum brought in the branches and put them in my cage where I ran raound and rubbed my fethersagainst them! Mum picked me up and smelled them saying I smelled like a wild birdie! but I missed my birdie friend in the mirror, so Mum took the branches out and put my mirror back in my cage before bed and snuggled up to her. what a fun afternoon!

It's Getting Cold!

This morning, Mum pulled my covers off me after changing my food and water and I didn't want to get out of bed.  So, I stuck my head back in my feathers as I sat on the perch in the sun.  She didnt  get it I wanted to go back tosleep. but she went out and left me in the warm sun all day and came home with lots of things from the outside! More than I usualy seen!
Before she went out, she gave me a new millet spray! Oh! she knows I love millet! I ate that all morning and then chewd on newspapa and drank some nice water. by the time I did all that she was home.

A Cooler Day

Today, Mum moved me to my Winta position at the front window. This is where she puts me out of the way of any wind and keeps me in the full sun for the day until the afternoon. Then, she can pull the curtains and put my covers on my cage as she turns on the lights.

Before she closed the house up, she sat outside and read a big book with me out there in the nice wind. There were otha birdies out there and I had a nice conversasion with them for a while. Then Mumtook me back insdie and made menice and warm.

She's been giving me lots of cuddles today; keeping me warm with her hand becasue it has been getting colder now.

Dull Days, Fun Mum

I have found when days get sleepy and dull here Mum puts on funny vampire movies and lots of music. she spends lots of time reading with me and makes sure i am warm too. even when sheis sick, she is making sure i am taken care of. she calls me a toasty bird.

Lkie last night, she was supose to go out to a party, but she stayed home becawse of her cold. so we watched a vampire film and she made sure I nice and warm before she wnet to bed. a big party was going behind our place and she sleep through it. today Mum has been good; pulling the windows and doors shut and making sure I'm all fluffly and warm. I think she is coming downstairs soon to read to keep me company, yes this isa good day. dull but fun with Mum.

Diffrent Week

Mum's had a hard week again this week. She has been sick wiht a cold and went to the dockors to get better. Almost as soon as she left, it got all noisy around here! And she got worried that she left no windows open for me! Over the back fence, all the trees went away and I could see a brick wall a lot of light came in.

Mum was amazed about that! She was mad too because the trees were there for a long time. she has photos of when she first moved here and there were no trees, and now theres no trees again. The nice people who live over the back don't like it either. They werent tole the trees were going away either. they came home and the trees weren't there anymore. I'm sad because all my birdy friends don't come around anymore and talk to me anymore. It's so quiet around here now.
