Mums Still Sick

Mum doesnt have a big runny nose anymore but she coughs like a lowd horn now. at night she is worse than during tha day and i get worried. she has been giving me extra special cuddles tho where i go to sleep all flufflied up in her hand. and all she does is pat my beek with her finger and the next thing i know i'm out like a lite and sleeping in her hand. she thinks this is very cute.

but she isnt well and has been keeping away from me as much as possible. she has been opening the howse during the day and making sure there is fresh wind coming thru. and at night she is eating good meals too.

Warm Week

Yestaday mum was out in the aftanoon becawse the thing that plays her records broke. so she got her dad to take her to a store to get it fixed. but she came home without it. she keeps saying the sterio doesnt look right. 

but the sun it out today and my feathers are all nice and warm. mum put the lawndry outside on the lion and she is happy and left the radio on. thats cool! she keeps giving me hugs today too. thats really cool.

Autumn Is Here!

I think the seesons are changing becawse the nights are getting a bit cold. mum puts my covers on me and i'm nice and warm and she has been going to bed a little early too. its been raining and mum is planning a new garden as well. i hope she does it. i think she will this time because she is cleaning it up more than last time.

i didnt go to the vet this year. and tonight i pulled and played on my swing making mum laugh. she thought i was being silly and i gess i was. really i was trying to turn it around but it must have look funny. well i better go back to bed becawse i snuck up here to use the computa while she was at the toilet...now to get back down the stairs without her knowing!

Hot Day and Sore Eye

I'm moulting and I find this itchy. sometimes when I scratch I get myself in the eye and this year isnt any different. I did that and Mum noticed. when i first did it, she panicked and tried to put some water through it but I didnt like that. so the next time she saw me like this, sheleft me alone and just rubbed around my eye so that i didnt have to scratch and it felt good.

today she did something fun and sprayed me with water to cool me off from the really hot day and some of the water got into my eye and made it feel beter. i love my Mum!

New Millet!!!

Mum went out today to the shopping centre and bought us food. When she came home she said she bought me something speshel, and she did! Mum bought me two different kinds of Millet! There's the fuzzy kind of Millet that's short and weird and I like it because it makes me sneeze but I haven't had that one before. and then theres the other kind of millet i've never seen before! she got me out of the cage and put some on top of it and i ate it all! It was was very crunchy and I ran around eating it all! Yumm!

Leaves!

Yesterday Mum got her dad to cut some branches off a big tree in the back yard that was hanging over the fence. When he cut it she cut some of the top bits off and saved them for me! 

Jay the dog was here running around the place and sniffing the carpet and around the house and out in the grass while Mum's dad cut the branches. Jay had a lot of fun. After Jay and Mum's dad left, Mum brought in the branches and put them in my cage where I ran raound and rubbed my fethersagainst them! Mum picked me up and smelled them saying I smelled like a wild birdie! but I missed my birdie friend in the mirror, so Mum took the branches out and put my mirror back in my cage before bed and snuggled up to her. what a fun afternoon!

Toastie Budgie!

It's been realy cold for a while. the clouds are dark and the sun is hiding from us. Winta is here and Mum has kept me nice and warm from it. She even went out on shopping day and bought me anotha piece of flannel to put over the front of my cage so it keeps out the breeze!  Then, just becawse she loves me, she bought baby spinach too!  I got a nice big peec when she came home after she let me have a fresh piece of millet! 

How good is that!  I love my Mum! 

It's Getting Cold!

This morning, Mum pulled my covers off me after changing my food and water and I didn't want to get out of bed.  So, I stuck my head back in my feathers as I sat on the perch in the sun.  She didnt  get it I wanted to go back tosleep. but she went out and left me in the warm sun all day and came home with lots of things from the outside! More than I usualy seen!
Before she went out, she gave me a new millet spray! Oh! she knows I love millet! I ate that all morning and then chewd on newspapa and drank some nice water. by the time I did all that she was home.

Dull Shopping Day

Today we had a visitor while we ate breakfast! It was Mum's Dad. He came and talked to her about a letter that arrived yesterday. He reads it and said she could keep it. Then, after she was ready to go shopping, they both went out and it began raining.

Mum left the radio off today and I heard the rain agaisnt all the windos. She came home with millet and a cuttle bone just for me!  And this aftanoon, she gave me a really sweet piece of apple to eat all for myself! She had some too. I had been really mean, so she gave me something nice to eat; and I let her cuddle me. I love cuddles. Soon she put me back in my home and pulled the curtin across to keep me warm. Its cold now and I want my covers on to keep toasty. But that apple was nice!

Overnight Stay

I had an overnight stay with Mum's parents while she went out to a party far away from here.  The day before yesterday, Mum had her Mum come over and sent me off to the house where there different birds to talk to.  I had lots of fun; but they kept moving me around.

And, you know, Mum's not the only one who can pat me really soft.  Her Mum put her finger against my chest and patted me really gentle and said I was was sweet; but really I didn't know what to expect, but I was good and didn't bite her (I think Mum wouldn't want me to).  Well, Mum's Mum smiled and said that I was very good all day and sang all the time.  Mum's Dad spoiled me by talking to me all day too. 

Then, I was brought home while Mum wasn't here. They opened the front window and made sure I had my water and food and I found it very warm until a while later, my Mum walked through the door looking very tired!  She was really excited to see me sitting here waiting for her and gave me a cuddle straight away!  Then, she opened the back door, put on the fan and put on the radio... and the house was a lot cooler straight away.

Today, Mum isn't feeling good.  Tired from yesterday I think.  So, she is taking it easy and not doing much. Me? I'm just hanging out here listening to Triple M... well, that's what the radio keeps telling it is.

A Little Bit of Sun

Mum's been really worried about what's on the box in the corner. They've been showing places with water and buildings and people being taken away from their homes. This makes Mum cry. I wish it didn't. Then, she cuddles me and cries a little again. I think she's scared.

It's been raining a lot too. But today, the sun came out just for alittle while and it looks good. But I think it will go away. Lots of people are really quiet around the place. Last night we didn't hear any traffic around the streets and Mum was up late. She was really quiet too. Now, I'm worried. I wish all that water on the telly didn't scare Mum so much.

Hot Days.

It's been hot while the sun is out and Mum is out a lot too. Like yesterday. She was out almost all day with her blue thing on wheels; and when she got home, it was full of all kinds of things. The window was open and a nice wind came in all day. She had bought me something from a pet shop; but thought about taking it back. Mum said it smelt like a dog licked it. But while she was on the phone, she talked to a friend and then went and put some of my cuttlefish in the washing tubs with water and now they don't smell like a dog licked it anymore.

I wonder what she did to get rid of the smell? 

Today, Mum did a lot of washing and hanged it out on the line. She checked the post office and we got another card to put on piano.  And she wrapped more books in Christmas paper.

She was wrapping stuff last night too and putting them under the tree.  it looks all pretty now with the lights on at night.

Yay! My New Swing!

Today was so hot!  My owner... well, I'm gonna call her Mum from now on... went out today. She had the blue trolley out and her bulky brown bag withher. It was shoping day. And when she got home, she pulled from the shoping trolley a new swing!  It's not wooden, its the right size and she put it in straight away!  I love it.  But the wood is really bright and white. Was it always that way? Doesn't matter.

I love my Mum... she is my owner and my Mum... because cares for me and knows what I like. She also got me Finch seed and not budgie seed. The new pet shop sounds like its a good one.

More Rain.

I enjoy the rain. but not this much rain. it's cold and my owner has pulled the curtain so the window doesn't let in the cold from the day. She's such a lovely person.

She gave me new millet today and I enjoyed eating that and ringing my bells withthe music on the radio.  Birds sangs while it poured rain outside. 

Sometimes I wish i was a wild bird flying around with the other birds in the trees on nice hot fine days.  But its when it's raining and cold I'm grateful I have a cage of my own and a nice owner who keeps me warm and makes sure I'm okay. She gives me lots of cuddles on these wets days too so she knows I'm warm. I like that.

Well, I think I'll have a sleep for now while the day is dark and my owner is still up on the computer.  I hope she doesn't mind me using the keyboard. Better still, i hope she hasn't noticed some of the letters scratched off.

Pet Shop Closing.

My owner went shopping today.  Usualy I know this because she gets her bag ready, the camera is checked for batteries and the big blue thing on two wheels comes out and she put in a whole lot of stuff to take with her; like the list, something to post and other things. Then, she closes the back door and is gone for along time... like she is upstairs.  But it's realy quiet.

But when she got home today, she was kinda quiet. She said to me the shop she got me from was closing in a few weeks. that's sad because she got all my food from there. That's probably why my millet ran out.

Oh! the other day, she got her Mum tobuy more millet!  It was from another pet store, but it was so good to see my millet back! My owner will have to get my seed and millet somewhere else I guess. I wonder where?

Visitors!

We had visitors last week.  My owner was seen around the house for a reason, she was cleaning up for them to come over.  There was a tall skinny one called Geoff - he comes here a lot and is nice.  I've met his wife. She likes me.  Then there was this other man called stu who sat in my owner's place on the lounge and fiddled with his phone when it buzzed.  But he kept on looking at me.  He told my owner that he hadn't owned a budgie since he was young and thought I was very cute.  Stu just kept staring at me and my owner got me out of the cage and patted me while Stu watched. He thought it was lovely how my owner scratched me around my chin and my put my head back ( I really do like how it feels and she's so gentle about it).

Well, both of them were invited upstairs to look at the book collection, but came down empty-handed. Geoff normally borrows books off my owner once in a while to read. he must have enough books to read.

Today, my owner went shopping. She still came home without millet again.  I miss my millet; I'm wondering what's wrong.  I hope she gets some soon.

Anotha Cold One

Mum came out this morning and lifted my covers to tell me that it was going to be a dull ol' day.  Me?  I still had my head stuck in my feathers and was on my swing.  She saw the bad look on my face and changed my food over before getting the bin in.  Then, she washed up and made breakfast; but I didn't want to get out of bed.

Before she rushed to go out, she gave me cuddle; but I wasn't too nice to her.  I nibbled on her hand twice, and she thought it was cute.  But after she put me back inside the cage, I jumpt back on my swing.

She's been out all day now; and I've had the house to myself.  How goods that?  I don't know where she went to, but I'm glad she left the curtain pull and my covers on.  It's been really cold.

Cold Day

Some days I'm really grateful Mum is so nice to me. This morning she pulled up the covers really gentle and said hello, then put them back down to go and get the bin.  It was cold outside you see and she didn't want me to get any cold wind on me. When she came back inside she pulled the covers back a little so the front of my cage was showing and the back and sides were still covered up. Then, she took out my food tray and changed my seed over and had a chat with me as she took out my millet to make me eat my bird seed.

Mum always feeds me before she makes herself anything to eat. 

She washed up a bit and made breakfast then.  The day has been dull all since it started.  I'm happy she's left my covers on.  i'm all toastie in here... but she's upstairs all day.  I know she's thinking of me and can hear me sing.

It's a lazy day for both of us.  She is still wearing her slippers and hasn't unlocked the doors.  I think she'll stay home tomorrow too.
